Men have prayed since Adam. I imagine Adam's prayer was much like the "driving to work" prayer illustrated above. Since he held an executive position in the Garden of Eden, it may have been more like a subordinate's report to his boss. i.e. "This is what I did this period... Here are the results... I dealt with these problems and this is how. Is this acceptable Oh Lord; or would you have me change something...? I will be glad to do that! Thank You for Your wisdom and Direction. By the way, I love working here. Thank You for the opportunity." Having been a career woman all my adult life; I sometimes use this approach. The results always come from the Lord as He blesses my efforts. God loves to interface with His created and obedient children. I suspect that any mode, offered sincerely and humbly, will please Him.
